Immigration to Canada
Economic Immigration
Economic Immigration programs are for applicants who may economically establish themselves in Canada. The majority of immigrants settle in Canada under the economic immigration programs. These programs are a good fit for those who intend to live outside of Quebec. It includes several Programs:
-

Canadian Experience Class Program - If you have recently worked in Canada for at least one year, you might qualify for this option. This option is the most popular Express Entry stream for those who have already entered Canada with a valid work permit.
-
Federal Skilled Trades Program - this stream targets skilled tradespeople (as long as their occupation is on the list of accepted trades jobs).

Family Sponsorships
Canadian citizens or permanent residents, 18 years old and over, living in Canada (other exceptions and requirements might apply), might qualify to sponsor the following family members:
-
spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner (in some cases);
-
dependant children under 22 years old and not married
As a PR or Canadian Citizen in Canada, you can also sponsor your parents or grandparents. However, you need to satisfy specific financial requirements. If the sponsor does not meet the financial requirements, they could ask their spouse or common-law partner to be a co-signer of the applicant. Please note that a co-signer and a sponsor accept a similar duration of the undertaking.
Many Canadians and PRs are interested in sponsoring their siblings to Canada. However, this option is very limited, available for lonely people in Canada without any close relatives in Canada or for sponsoring orphans.
